Undying Love - Poem

Earlier this week, I shared a short story on the blog, which I originally heard from Rabbi Paysach Krohn. In this story, a young mischievous  boy yearns to hear the timeless, priceless words "I love you" from his school principal. I do not want to give to much away from the story, but regardless, it left an impression on me which lead me to share it here.

At the end of the post however I wrote,
"If the words 'I love you,' mean so much a young child how much more would it mean for us to hear those words from our father in heaven... G-d?"
After some thought I wanted to add another aspect to the story by sharing a poem. I thought about how I can Implement the love of G-d to his children, into a soulful and meaningful poem.

And today, I came up with it. So I sincerely hope you find it just as meaningful as I did.

Enjoy,

Undying Love - Poem

It's time for me to pray,
In G-d's chamber, in his place,
I knock on the door, he opens it,
And wraps me in his embrace.

He takes a seat,
As I pray, he watches me,
Oh, how glorious it is to be,
G-d's one and only.

I hope my praise and pleas,
Have been expressed with devotion,
I look up as I finish,
I see that G-d has been moved with emotion.

I notice fresh tears falling
As G-d sits in his place,
And as I look closer,
A smile appears on his face.

As I prepare to leave,
I feel so proud to be a Jew
G-d taps me on my shoulder,
My son,
I
Am so proud of
YOU
