Introduction to The Yitzy Schweitzer Blog

 It's pretty daunting, sitting here, in my room writing my very first blog post for my first ever blog. I have had this idea in mind for about a week now and so, to finally be starting out here is pretty surreal and exciting.

The purpose of this blog is to share with my audience my passion for writing. I've been writing poetry and little stories since I was young however it never became a passion, or something I'd enjoy until April 2019 when I was given on my school timetable, a lesson with a certain teacher who I am eternally grateful to, as she helped me on my journey to discovering the joy's of writing. I remember we had finished our set work and we still had a couple of minutes remaining with no idea of what to do.

Until the one idea.

I suggested to my teacher that I share with her a video from a spoken word artist known as Prince Ea, after which I will write an essay based of the concept of the original video. Long story short, she agreed and, about seven months later I had my first book, Heart Within the Pen, which I will hopefully share on here later.

Since than, I have not looked back.

From essays, to poetry, the ideas for writing and for new, fresh and innovative concepts has not stopped and it all has led to this moment.
