The Forest: From Evening Until Morning - Poem

A forest is a such a beautiful place, full of natural wonder, adventure and mystery. A forest takes care of and is home to many of the worlds animals such as raccoons, bears and chipmunks. The photographs of forest capture so much beauty, such as the thousand upon thousand of trees which travel far beyond the eyes, or an endless rainbow of autumn leaves of those trees.

But for me one of the most amazing things that a forest gives is a sunset.

Imagine the suns rays gleaming and bouncing off the branches of the trees and the full-grown picturesque and creepy shadows it creates. When the hues of the sky and sun combine with the leaves, it creates a proportion of color that is just breathtaking.

The Forest: From Evening Until Morning - Poem

The forest on an autumn evening
The ground plastered with leaves of a rainbow
And although I see them everywhere I turn
There is still a way to go

Night time in the forest
The moon shines from the sky, a dim lamp
The leaves have lost their bright colours
The ground is cold, heartless and damp

Yes the night is long
The hours move, so slow
Where is the sun when I need it?
Where did it go?

Sunrise in the forest
The sky a golden pearl of light
The rainbow returns to brighten up the leaves
My path is once again in sight
