A Day on the Bridge - Poem

I want you to imagine that you are taking a walk on a bridge above the water and you are watching the sun go down. You see the sky creating a gradient of awesome colors in its thousands of shades and you see the suns glowing red ball drip closer towards the oncoming horizon...

Just think about that.
Think about how beautiful that would be.

Recently, I was listening to a song where one of the lines spoke about crossing bridges instead of burning them. That got me thinking about writing a poem in regards to the wonders one can witness on a bridge based around that line. After some ideas rolling around inside my head, I sat down and came up with the poem written below.

I hope you find it enjoyable,

A Day on the Bridge - Poem

The bridge stretches on for miles
Into the horizon, beyond, it dips
As the sun signals a new day
The bridge stands tall, firm, proud

This bridge is a light
With a rainbow made without rain
People will pass, will they notice?
Or will their attention be drowned in waves below?

It's now time for night
Sunset, the suns time for rest
As it drips down towards the horizon
Shadows, may of them, emerge.

The bridge blends the shadows, with the sun
And it's glowing light
People may still pass, will they notice?
Or do they just want to get home?

The bridge sees the wonder
But also it sees people
As they pass by, every day.
Will you notice the wonder on the bridge?
Or, does it simply not matter?
