Evening Walk - Poem
This past Friday, I was walking to shul (synagogue) for Erev Shabbos davening when I had an idea to write a poem about a simple, soulful evening walk. After a few days of thinking about the concept, I sat down and penned out the lines earlier this week.
Each stanza (or verse) focuses on describing different aspects of the walk, such as feeling the serenity in the air as the breeze gently flows past, the mental sensations of having no worries or stress and just grasping each moment, the heart, as it sounds out a almost silent, rhythm as you walk...
I invite you to read (and walk along with) this poem and I hope you will enjoy as you mentally take a stroll through the park of my thoughts on a serene, soulful, evening walk

Evening Walk - Poem
Soft clear skies
Smooth, relaxing winds
The silent street corners
Nature calls tenderly
On a walk in the evening
Free of stress,
No pressure,
Life feels so right
A chance to embrace your soul
Breathing in the air
Feet softly touch the ground
A soft, rhythmic heartbeat,
LIFE, giving me a moment
Taking it, to treasure, forever
Back home,
The walk is over
But the moments will stay
These irreplaceable times… seems so long ago
Yes, a simpler, but so wonderful, time
Never to be forgotten
Soft clear skies
Smooth, relaxing winds
The silent street corners
Nature calls tenderly
On a walk in the evening
Free of stress,
No pressure,
Life feels so right
A chance to embrace your soul
Breathing in the air
Feet softly touch the ground
A soft, rhythmic heartbeat,
LIFE, giving me a moment
Taking it, to treasure, forever
Back home,
The walk is over
But the moments will stay
These irreplaceable times… seems so long ago
Yes, a simpler, but so wonderful, time
Never to be forgotten
