Yitzy Is Leaving School - Graduation Speech

Now, next up on the list of things I wish to share in honor of my graduation from school, is my leaving speech which I gave at the graduation assembly. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Hint: Based on the number of jokes and witty lines, I came up with especially for the speech, I think I enjoyed writing it a bit to much. I hope the good cheer and positive vibes make you laugh, or chuckle and only add to the enjoyment of reading this speech!

Best Wishes,

Yitzy Schweitzer
Yitzy Is Leaving School - Graduation Speech

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. It is my pleasure to speak to you at The Darchei Noam Center leavers assembly. It is a momentous occasion that looks upon our achievements as a year group and for us, our own personal achievements.

I never thought I’d be standing here giving my own graduation speech. Although I obviously graduated from primary school, the thought of graduating from here seemed like a dream. I never imagined that I’d be speaking just like all the graduates before me.

But now I am here. After seven and a half years, I have made it. Congrats me, you deserve it…

What have I done during this time to get here? Thanks for trying to ask.. I’ll tell you

My personal success is obvious to me and to all that know me. I feel so proud to have called this place my main home of schooling for all these years I have been here. (7 years, is that too much?) I have been able to expand my knowledge on a vast amount of subjects, examples would be cooking and gardening and have been able to write and publish my own book as well as finding my creative spark with all my poems and creating my own blog.

Oh and how could I forget my exams, the pieces of paper with questions on it that have dictated my life for the past month. I have gained qualifications in English, Math and Science functional skills and I currently await my GSCE results (SO many exams) help me.)

I have also gotten to enjoy school trips where each time, If any activity was troubling me I was able to break through the barriers of fear and emerge a happier person. These trips also taught me the value of friendship because everyone would join together to help me in fearful times. The teachers’ positive vibe, creative and cool personality along with the respect they had for me ultimately was the backbone of my success.

Thank you to HaShem for all of these incredible memories I will take with me, thank you to my parents and friends and, last but in no way least, thank you for listening.

Enjoy the rest of your assembly.
