Soaring With G-d - Poem
Sometimes, I get ideas for poems when I least expect it. There has been a couple of occasions where I was trying to fall asleep at night and a certain line or really cool paragraph for a new, fresh, exciting poem just would bubble away in my mind to the point I'd have to write it down on my phone right than and there.
This poem is a prime example of this. I was literally sitting alone at home one day, eating lunch, when I found myself, for some reason, thinking about eagles soaring high in the sky. From that thought, another one followed, writing a poem about a person who is "Soaring With G-d," meaning he is trying his best to achieve his dreams and get closer to his creator, the Al-mighty.
After some back and forth of the lines and rhymes, I rushed to my laptop and starting typing. Here is what I came up with. I hope you like it.

Soaring With G-d - Poem
I’ve been misled a thousand times
There was always something blocking my way
I have been thrown off the path, run off the course
Time and time and time again
But I’ve had enough
I am taking no more chances, I am not stopping now
You will see that I will succeed, you won’t be able to fool yourself
I say I will succeed and with belief and confidence I shall
Please G-d, just let me soar
If my wings are my talents, than let me use them
A bird can’t fly long distances, without starting close to home
And a painters image, won’t stand out, if all the colors blend
My gifts are personal
They are mine, given to me from a place of love
My mission is oh so unique
I’ve been tasked with it, from my commanding general, up above
Oh, and some of you, may just think
I came in unprepared,
But I’ve expertly trained for this, mark my word, if you please,
Look at my expression, that right, I am not scared
Please G-d, just let me soar
If my wings are my talents, than let me use them
A bird can’t fly long distances, without starting close to home
And a painters image, won’t stand out, if all the colors blend
Yet, with all my confidence,
All my personal desires
Only G-d can helps me
HE can make me wiser
So, that is why I have this confidence
Because I now G-d hears what I say
He smiles, lookes down, whispers his good wishes in my ear
With a smile, I set off on my way
I’ve been misled a thousand times
There was always something blocking my way
I have been thrown off the path, run off the course
Time and time and time again
But I’ve had enough
I am taking no more chances, I am not stopping now
You will see that I will succeed, you won’t be able to fool yourself
