Will You Be There? - Poem

Hey everyone,

Just a quick message before we get started with the poem and the introduction. I hope all of you reading this email, had an easy and beautiful fast. Hopefully it went fast enough for you :). No, seriously, I am not joking here. Anyways, let us get started with the poem now.

In the early summer of this year, I wrote a very special poem titled "Will You Be There?" about a young man who has had many difficulties and challenges throughout his life. In this poem, which is almost like a personal letter to G-d, while he acknowledges that he wishes for a time when those painful moments could go away, he also hopes that G-d, will help him fight his way through the remaining obstacles and he could learn from these situations becoming mentally stronger, healthier and happier.

It has taken me a while to share this poem with you and simply the reason is because the time just never felt right until now. I hope, though, that as I have shared it now, you will enjoy the read.

My best wishes to you,

Will You Be There? - Poem
Life has brought me to tears,
Life has thought up dreams of terror for me,
When I close my eyes, leave them open,
Pain and horror is all I am able to see.

I cannot breathe freely,
Neither can I find peace,
When my pain keeps me prisoner,
And won't let me be released.

If only, soon, this pain would be,
Just a distant nightmare,
If only, soon, there will be a time,
That the world will show me it cares.

Oh, when you stand beside me,
Walk with me and carry me when I fall,
All my troubles seem so feeble, then,
Because you help me take care of it all.

When you show me where to walk,
When you show me where I should be going,
I know I'll be okay,
Because, it is your footprints I am following.

Tonight, I must take the leap,
Forward into the abyss beyond,
Will you be there to guide me?

Will you hold my hand,
Help me to stand,
Will you be there, beside me?
