Kindness - Poem

While in search for a new poetry concept this week, my teacher suggested I try write one about kindness. After some thought I decided to write the poem similarly to how a wrote "Perfectly True", a poem I published earlier this year, in April. Here is how the concept was laid out:

Each stanza, or sometimes, each two lines, would focus on certain attributes and traits which kindness is associated with such as, being joyful, having a helping hand and so on. I wanted to provide entertaining and soulful descriptions for all of these attributes as well, such as, if I would write about kindness being a helping hand (which I did), I would describe how that hand guides a person through a dark period, or during tough times continuing to assist him until the hurdle has passed.

The last stanza would tie all these attributes together and describe how G-d has given us this gift of kindness and the ability to be kind in all these sweet and wonderful ways.

I hope you will find this poem enjoyable,

Best Wishes,

Kindness - Poem
Kindness is a seed,
A seed watered by small droplets of love and care,
It thrives on that love and keeps on growing,
Into a flower.

Kindness is a helping hand,
Reaching out during tough times,
Guiding, leading the way,
Until the end of the tunnel.

Kindness is joy,
The joy of putting a smile on someones face,
Kindness is being thankful,
And showing that we appreciate/

G-d gives us seeds of kindness,
To plant carefully with our hands,
G-d is joyful and so he gives us joy,
So we can say our thanks.
