It's Snow Wonder - Poem

Last week, the UK had a snowfall on Sunday evening. Although the snow stopped falling just after 11pm, it had settled enough to the point that for an entire week, the snow and the ice remained. As I write these words on Monday, 19th December, the snow on my block has disappeared ever since this morning.When I woke up this morning, due to some rainfall that had happened the previous night, the snow has now gone.

I had been hoping it would snow, ever since the weather dropped and I told myself if it would, than I would write a poem about the snow. Since that wanted snow has now passed, I welcome you to read my poem titled "It's Snow Wonder".

It's Snow Wonder - Poem
Waking as the new day dawns,
Taking a look out of my window,
I raise my voice in wonder and praise,
As I see the beautiful snow.

Bundling up and going outside,
I want to experience this moment the best I can,
I want to appreciate the coolness of the unique snowflakes,
As they fall on the palm of my hand.

I take a breath as I look at this snow,
A blanket as white as a pure dove,
I grab a cold chunk and throw it high,
Feeling the chills as it goes through my glove.

It is time to go inside,
And give warmth to my body and soul,
But before I go, one last look,
Thank You, G-d for this snowfall
