Angles of Peace - Poem
This week while going through my music playlists I began checking out the music in a certain one, which was titled "Instrumental Music for Deep Sleep". While listening to that playlist, I came across a piece which I really enjoyed and decided to write something with that piece in mind.
The track itself was a very warm, ambient and almost angelic track, which made me think of the title for this poem. After a little more conceptualizing and writing, finally the finished product was on my screen. I am really happy with it and I hope you will enjoy it.
It is also my fervent hope that the message of peace conveyed within the poem, will speedily come true in our days, G-D willing.
All the best,
Yitzy Schweitzer
Angles of peace circle the city,
Smiling at the quiet, tranquility,
Low, gentle hums as the cars drive by,
Towards a destination of love and unity.
If I call darkness peace,
Would you than call daylight war?
But if hours upon end would pass in harmony,
Would we all want more?
Freedom beckons, whispers,
It’s a locked door, the key is peace,
Why keep our grudges hidden behind hate and pain
When we could just let go and from the hurt, be released?
Angles of peace circle the city,
Hoping, maybe tonight, complete, baseless love
The tap on your shoulder you feel…?
It is Mashiach, waiting to give you a hug!
