Wildest Dreams - Poem

A recurring theme with many of my poems, is the that of believing in oneself, acknowledging your abilities and reaching towards limitless heights to achieve your goals. This poem you are about to read, in my mind, fits into that category, but this time we are looking at dreaming - and achieving them - in a pretty interesting light.

I had this idea earlier in the week based off the prompt "Wildest Dreams". I was coming home from college and lost in the labyrinth of my own thoughts, when the following line came to mind "I have had some pretty wild dreams, in the night, in my bed, but nothing compares, to the dreams in my head". Immediately, I tried my best to memorize it, so that I can write it down in a poem, which I obviously did and now I am sharing it with you.

I hope you enjoy the read and may we all soon realize the ultimate dream of the soul, which is to be in Yerushalayim with the Beis Hamikdash.

Best of Wishes,

Wildest Dreams - Poem
In the quiet of the night,
When the hour is late,
A journey through the mind,
Is what I wish to take.
See the flashes of my thoughts,
As time rides its wave,
Dream up a story,
A plot for my page.

The veil lifts,
As my eyes close,
Sleep overtakes,
On the journey, my brain goes.

But hey do you know something?

I have had some pretty wild dreams,
In the night, in my bed,
But nothing compares,
To the dreams in my head.
I dream to reach up high,
To touch the clouds,
Don't you dare limit me,
Tell me I am not allowed.
My dreams are mine alone,
I think them, inside my head,
Some are great, others monstrous,
But then, they're mine, so they are the best.

It is not hard to dream,
If you think about it,
Think of your ambitions, goals and desires,
Then you've got it.
Reach into your heart,
See what thoughts are in your mind,
Speaking, am I, from experience here,
You may like what you find.
