The Rainbow, A Remedy For Your Fears - Subscribers Poetry Inspiration 2023-24 Poem 10

 Sivan is the tenth month of the "Subscribers Poetry Inspiration" segment and for this month, I was sent a concept by a very dear and loved subscriber who recommended I try to write about "Fears and Rainbows". I was intrigued by the challenge of trying to combine rainbows, a bright and colourful force of natural wonderment, with a slightly more sinister and scary topic of fears. After some thought, I got down to creating something.

Well, here you have the finished product. Chosen from four poems I had written for the subject, both myself and my subscriber who recommended the concept felt the message was most adequately brought out with this one.

I thank this subscriber for the concept and I hope all of you enjoy the read.

The Rainbow, A Remedy For Your Fears - Subscribers Poetry Inspiration 2023-24 Poem 10

I know your dreams,

I know your inner thoughts and ideas,

I know you are afraid, to follow the path,

Because the journey is frightening the road unclear.

It's an inner storm,

There within your mind,

You want to succeed and accomplish,

But you are afraid of what you'll find.

Oh, but hey listen,

Take some of this simple advice,

Just wash the storm away, push past the clouds,

Brwathe some sweet air and focus on the blue sky,

See, because after a storm,

In the sky you see a rainbow,

That rainbow encourages you, yes it does,

It gives you hope.

So tell those fears, 

You'll catch them later,

You gotta run for the rainbow,

Times running out here.

Its fight or flight,

They also call it make or break,

It's a choice, up to you,

Which one will choose, which path will you take?
