Sunset of Redemption - Poem

I was browsing online earlier this past week, when someone sent me a specific video. Now, at this point in time I cannot accurately remember what the video was about, however it made me think about sunsets. Then after that, I thought about redemption and decided to try combine those two words and compose a poem based on it.

After some minutes, I finally had the finished result. I tried to construct this poem very carefully as I was aiming to achieve a certain feeling of hope and serenity within my word choices and expressions. I hope you will connect to the message and enjoy the read.

All the best,

Your Friend,

Sunset of Redemption - Poem

As the sun sets,

Upon the landscape of our city,

The air whispers about the comings,

Of days filled with peace and love,

Moments we've dreamt about,

A time we've waited so long for,

Is almost here, but a sunrise away,

The ultimate blessing from above.

Just watch the sun wave goodnight,

Rest, knowing He is bringing you home,

Together with your family and friends,

With a nation of brothers, as one, united.

Feel the comfort of the soft breeze,

A tap on the shoulder keeping hope living,

Fall away into dreams of truth,

For in the morning, the truth will become alive.

Feel it in your heart,

Tell yourself this until you believe it,

Step into rest with hope on your mind,

The world will be awake soon, the time is at dawn,

With a blast from distances not to far,

The shofar calls out to your soul,

Arise, shake of the dust, join your people,

March like proud soldiers towards where you belong.

Yes, the sunset, whispers this,

The skies tell of destiny's coming,

But until one more day begins, we must wait,

For the dawn of Mashiach, is soon to be,

Something tells me you know this too,

Are you ready for it?

Will I see you tomorrow? I hope to,

I hope you will dance in Jerusalem with me.
