Melodies & Whispers in Frozen Moments - Poem
I sometimes start a poem with no idea where the road of rhyme will take me, yet as lines appear on the page, I form a clearer concept, based on what I have already written, allowing the poem to fully capture the message Hashem wants me to share.
This poem is case in point, as I initially began the poem with the opening stanza, before stopping and wondering how to best continue developing the concept. As more and more lines and rhymes came to me,the idea became complete, as the one stanza became another, and another, until everything fell perfectly into place, and G-d allowed me to finished writing what he wanted me to write and share.
The poem named "Melodies & Whispers in Frozen Moments" speaks of a time, when the world will stand, not moving, as a hauntingly beautiful melody of heavenly song and lost whispers join together to call us into action, begging us to reach out and and embrace our brothers, sisters, and friends who have lost their way, fallen on their own journeys, and to guide them home, towards themselves with love, compassion and understanding.
I hope you enjoy it.
Have an amazing Pesach,
Your friend,
Yitzy Schweitzer
Stillness, movement exists no more,
Time is hidden, not a second escapes,
The sands are suspended, as heaven sounds its call.
The echoes of lost whispers, break silently through the stillness,
A calling towards the need of a higher purpose, a brighter day,
Through the frozen seconds, a cry is heard,
For the lost and broken souls, who fell on the journey, losing the way.
The call intensifies, the heavens speak now clearer,
As the ice melts, the voices join the whispers,
A melody of tears, voices harmonising in elevated prayers,
As the melody asks of us to embrace our brothers and sisters.
We must lend a hand to those who ask and those who speak with no words,
For only the soul and heart can hear the quietest cries,
The heavens, plead with us, to allow ourselves to listen,
To help our lost family, reclaim their purpose, reignite the fire in their eyes.
As the melody, so hauntingly beautiful fades away,
Time once again stands still for only a frozen moment,
Will we answer the call, or allow the cries to drown us,
We are all responsible, for how can we be a family, when are hearts are cold, to the souls who are broken?
