Kindness, Our Special Trait - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2025-26 Poem 2

 For the second addition to this years "Subscriber Poetry Inspiration", I am sharing a poem based on a concept shared by a very dear subscriber, who suggested that I should try write a piece about the kindness of Klal Yisroel, how every Yid can perform daily acts of chessed, providing a moment of joy, relief and hope to his fellow friend.

If I had to summarize, I would say the main point of the poem is that we do our kind acts and good deeds not for recognition, admiration or to be featured in the news, or groundbreaking stories, but because each Yid is part of our family, part of the puzzle and we must try do our best to assist them when we see a opportunity.

We are a nation built on many great Torah values, but our humility, mercy and love of kindness, sets us apart in a truly unique and great way. 

Anyway after beginning the writing process certain lines and rhymes kept finding their place as the poem came together, simple, yet rich in meaning and message with each line adding layers that only made what I wanted to convey clearer, more truthful and beautiful.

Kindness, Our Special Trait - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2025-26 Poem 2

In a humble, simple say,
Without fanfare or fame,
Each day, we perform acts of kindness,
Slowly reaching new levels of greatness.

We don't need a crowd, we just need to do what's right,
The flame of kindness burns, from morning until night,
From a simple word or gesture to every initiative and creative idea,
We continue to give light out into the world, but not for the popularity or cheer.

Built on the values of kindness, humility, and mercy,
Our proud nation stands uniquely,
Helping out a Fellow Jew with care and respect,
Out of our hearts goodness, no reward we expect.

Kindness is not unique to us, but we sure do make it so,
Our actions do so much good, more than we ever truly know.
From the mornings sun, to nights stars, kindness guides our every step,
Unique deeds of true goodness, for each child of Hashem.
