Chuppah Moments - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2025-26 Poem 6

Recently, at the end of the month of Shevat, and at the beginning of this month, Adar, my family has been blessed to celebrate many meaningful and special occasions. Beginning with the end of Shevat, a very dear cousin of mine became engaged. This event was very meaningful and special for me, rounding out the month of nature#s rebirth with a simcha.

Next, on Rosh Chodesh Adar, another cousin got married and I was privileged to attend the chasunah, which of course, was very special indeed. Now, a week later, in fact, the day I write this introduction, another very dear cousin of mine is also getting married.

I feel blessed and so thankful to Hashem for the fact that all these special occasions are coming one after another and also feel thankful to be able to share in each of these three cousins simchas in my own way. In that light, I would humbly like to dedicate this weeks' poem to them. So, dear cousins, (you know who you are) if you are reading this, Mazal Tov and I hope you enjoy the read.

To all my readers, my warmest blessings to you and I hope you enjoy the read as well.

Have a great week,

Your friend,

Yitzy Schweitzer
Chuppah Moments - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2025-26 Poem 6
Soft, dark skies, decorated with stars,
A sparkling white canopy, angelic and pure,
A golden candle burning, a glow of heavens sparks,
The moments are frozen, time moves no more.

The music starts, and the groom walks in prayer,
Guided by the heavens towards his future,
Tears of joy and hope, whispers of a beautiful home,
Right now, nothing else matters, the world is muted.

The kallah enters now, a Bas Yisroel, a queen,
The bride, the wife, the Eishes Chayil,
Her face is covered, her beauty is not physical, but is in the soul
She draws a Samach around her partner, the angels dance and smile.

A ring is placed on her finger, the bride and groom pray,
For all that is good, let Hashem bring it down, with love and care,
Sheva berachos are receited, the glass is smashed,
Maxal Tov, the crowd cheers as the music comed back on again.

But, those moments are not wasted, pure they remain,
Untouched, untainted moments, of tears and prayer,
A brief fragment in time, when angels were in the midst,
Under the Chupa, when two souls joined as one unit,
There in that one moment, a world was born, generations.
