Diamond Raindrop - Poem

I was recently working on some graphics involving a diamond image up against a stormy, gray background. After completing the design aspect of the picture, I wanted to add a nice expression to give the graphic a touch of meaning. I came with an expression based on an old poem I once read.

The expression goes as follows:
"In every raindrop, downpour, and flood, there is always a diamond in the storm"

After that, I began to have ideas about writing a poem with that expression being the focusing point. So, earlier this week, I sat down to write my thoughts.

Here is what I came up with.

Enjoy!

Diamond Raindrop - Poem
Although there is a puddle,
Made by droplets in the millions,
They are sparkling beads of light
Upon contact with the sun.

It's been storming from up above.
Crashes of thunder and flashes of lightning show.
But this downpour I see,
Is a song, a piece of music from G-D

As clouds close in,
Sun is undercover,
But it still shines,
It will show again, soon

They say this expression
And when it rains, they use it
"In every raindrop, downpour and flood
There is always
A diamond in the storm

On a quick side note, if you wish to see the graphic I designed that inspired this poem click here
