Moon, Stars, Sea - Poem
I've written countless poems since beginning this blog, each one exploring something different and unique, whether it is an emotional topic a creative new concept, or something to do with nature, I try to always write truthfully and describe what needs to be described in the best way I can.
About a week ago, I had the idea to write a poem about the moon by the edge of the seas horizon. I wanted to bring out the natural beauty of this image in my head and try transmit that through poetry. I sat down, put my hands on the keys, and starting writing the words that entered my heart.
Each stanza (or verse) in the poem speaks about a different part of this mental image I am trying to bring out. The first one speaks about the moon, the second about the stars and the third about the sea, before the final stanza brings the whole image together.
I hope you enjoy reading it,

Moon, Stars, Sea - Poem
The
moon shines bright
Its glow spreads out in to the distance
Amongst the millions of stars
And the pristine sea waves
It stands, simply doing what it does best
The stars spread out
Galaxies, universe, from afar
Complementing the moon
It spreads sparks in the sky
Its many little particles, stands, simply doing what it does best
The sea is so calm
It’s waters smooth, inviting and relaxing
The waves are resting, breathing, in the air
The moons shine creates shimmers and glows
And the stars pop softly on the horizon
The sea, sits in calm, simply doing what it does best
All these wondrous things are great in their own way
If they come together however
Their greatness is greater by infinite capacity
Each of them, together
Stand, simply doing what they do best
Its glow spreads out in to the distance
Amongst the millions of stars
And the pristine sea waves
It stands, simply doing what it does best
The stars spread out
Galaxies, universe, from afar
Complementing the moon
It spreads sparks in the sky
Its many little particles, stands, simply doing what it does best
The sea is so calm
It’s waters smooth, inviting and relaxing
The waves are resting, breathing, in the air
The moons shine creates shimmers and glows
And the stars pop softly on the horizon
The sea, sits in calm, simply doing what it does best
All these wondrous things are great in their own way
If they come together however
Their greatness is greater by infinite capacity
Each of them, together
Stand, simply doing what they do best
