Make It Rain - Poem
I recently had this idea to write a poem about the beauty of rain. While some people look at this weather and may find it an occasional nuisance (don't worry, I am sometimes one of them) some people, do in fact prefer it when it rains, particularly in storms, as they find the noise and constant "pitter-patter" of the rain therapeutic.
However, aside from each of us having our own personal rain preferences, let us look at rain from a natural perspective in this poem. I invite you to take a read, as I take you on a poetry-based journey in to the world of rain.
Enjoy the journey,
Yitzy Schweitzer

Make It Rain - Poem
Let us take a look up to the sky,
It is about to rain.
Let us watch nature at it's finest,
In a storm of a million droplets.
As the seeds of the plants finally start to sprout,
A song of thanks is heard
The breeze picks up pace
The flowers, in unison, sway
Watch as clouds, once apart come together
Although the sun now cannot be seen
You know it's still there,
It is going to rest in the blanket of clouds
And soon it will emerge,
But for now, let us watch the storm
G-d won't you make it rain now
Let the clouds close in around me
Open the floodgates of the heavens
And let the waters fall
G-d won't you make it rain now
Let the storm make it sound
And then, the plants in the ground
Will finally
Begin to grow
As I rush home
The waters crash on down
Strong gusts of wind come
And fly around
But I am not wishing for the rain to stop
For my soul silently dances, with joy
G-d won't you make it rain now
Let the clouds close in around me
Open the floodgates of the heavens
And let the waters fall
G-d won't you make it rain now
Let the storm make it sound
And then, the plants in the ground
Will finally
Begin to grow
