The Stars and Their Stories - Poem

In his latest book entitled, "What A Story!", Rabbi Yechiel Spero, a popular author, lecturer and educator gives over a very nice concept about the importance of telling over ones experiences and tales to others, so they can be inspired, motivated and empowered. He than links it to Avraham Avinu, who is told by G-d in Sefer Bereshis to count the stars. Or in Hebrew: וספר הכוכבים.- Usefor HaKochavim

Rabbi Spero suggests a deeper meaning.

The word וספר has the same root as the word סיפור-Sippur, which means "Story". Maybe G-d was telling Avraham to instruct his descendants to  "Tell Over the Stories"of wonder, love and hope, and keep the tales passing throughout the generations...

Like there are a thousand plus stars, the Jewish Nation has a thousand plus stories. And possibly it all came from this chapter in the life of our forefather Avraham.

This thought immediately got me thinking of the idea for a poem. Here it is.

I hope you find the poem enjoyable,

The Stars and Their Stories - Poem
Look up in to the sky,
See the stars, hundreds, millions, thousands,
Glowing throughout the midnight landscape,
Each in their own unique way.

Each and every star,
Represents each and every one of us.
Each star want to tell a tale, a story,
That is important to them,
And collectively, to the other stars,
Surrounding them.

There are so many individuals,
With so many individual stories,
Each one is like a treasure,
Waiting to be opened.

So go ahead,
Open the treasure.
Read from the pages and scrolls of your heart,
Mesmerize your audience,
Speak the events that are your truth,
And slowly,
Inspire...

Find your story, tell it over
Let your star shine, throughout the world
Help others find their stories,
Don't let the moments slip into pages of the past.
Help other stars to shine,
A light, of eternity.
