Destiny Discovered - Poem

I was in desperate need for a new poem throughout the week. I had some ideas floating around, some of which I had already worked on (those poems will be out in the near future) and some ideas that just had not yet made the cut. However, on the way home from college earlier this week, I picked up on this one idea about the special and unique powers each individual person has within themselves, to help them achieve their own personal dreams and take a stand towards their destiny. After thinking about some lines and rhymes, I took out my phone and began to type.

Here is what I came up with, I hope you enjoy it and I hope it will inspire you to try and achieve your own personal goals that you may have set for yourself in honor of Rosh Hashana.

Destiny Discovered - Poem
Wake up, my friend,
This is not a time to dream,
Snap out of your fantasy,
Where not everything is at it seems.
Pick yourself up,
Come on and dust yourself off,
Now come along with me.

Let us go on a journey to discover,
The power that is inside your heart,
Lets show you your true potential,
No time wasting, because now we start.
We begin the journey to your destiny,
Towards everything you can be,
Pick yourself up,
And now come along with me.

Can you see all of the possibilities?
Do you understand who you are and who you could be?
Do you know about the powers that you possess?
Why not let the special burn instead of letting it rest?

Step out of your comfort zone,
Show me who you really are,
Don't be afraid to run,
Keep on running countless miles far.
With all this goodness inside of you,
You have something unique to share,
 Don't shy away from your truth,
Lying won't get you anywhere.

Understand the person,
Who you are truly meant to be.
Don't  lock your talent away
When you really got to set them free.
Allow the prison bars to part.
Allow your powers out,
Use them for the good,
Show the world what your all about.
