Call Out My Name/Echoes On The Mountain - Poem

Throughout my younger teenage years, I have often found it difficult to think about and discuss the concept of love. Especially at times when I felt low, sad or unhappy, it pained me further to think that people out there really did cared about me. I felt as though I was not deserving of others peoples love, care or concern, so if I was ever told that many people honestly do care about me, many conflicting thoughts and an over-spilling of emotion would allow me to mentally deny that.

Alongside that, I would often feel a sense of fear whenever I would think about G-d being happy with me. I felt like I was struggling, making a lot of mistakes and so countless times, to think that G-d loves me, as a father loves his child, really hurt, as I felt like I did not deserve it.

But, with support from, obviously, those that love and care for me, I began to develop a better self-image mentally and began understanding myself and my emotions more, which has helped me in many ways.

That is how you come to theme of this poem.

Our narrative is split in to two halves. The first one, follows a young teenager who is walking through a beautiful valley full of natures finest wonders, when a subtle burst of wind seemingly echoes something out to him. Wondering who it could be, he believes it to be a call from G-d, asking of his dearly beloved child to come close to him, bask in his light and mercy and serve him with love and devotion.

The second half of the poem, is when our narrator, discovers the purpose for the echo and follows him as he begins to make the journey towards G-d, fully intent upon reaching his goal, no matter what.

I hope you enjoy this narrative,

Call Out My Name/Echoes On The Mountain - Poem
Walking in a valley of mountains and lakes,
Admiring the vast nature,
When suddenly a burst of wind comes,
Touching me lightly on the shoulder.

The wind seems to be echoing something,
I thought I heard a soft mention of my name,
But who seems to be calling me when there is nobody around,
Or is this all just a mental game?

No, wait, there it is again,
That voice is calling out to me,
But, I still don't know, where it is coming from,
Or who it could be.

Do you think it was the voice of G-d,
Calling out to me from heaven, a mountain so high,
I believe and I doubt that,
And here is why.

If heaven would be like a mountain,
Then it would be very high,
And if an echo can be heard in waves upon reaching the mountains foot,
Then all I hear when G-d's echo reaches me,
Is a whispering scream.

But now, as I think about it,
I realize it could only have been you,
Calling out my name, asking me to come,
To come and sit together with you.

You wanted me to find you,
And so your voice, you let me hear,
And after I heard deep inside my soul,
Only than was it clear.

So now, I am on my way,
Soon, you will use your voice to sing our favorite song,
We will dance, holding on to each others hands,
As I will soon return to the place where I belong
