Call of My Soul - Poem

I released a poem a couple of weeks back called "The Wait" in which I wrote about the unshakable, unyielding and deeply honest faith of The Jewish Nation. The poem discusses how despite the many, long and difficult years of hoping, praying and yearning for the coming of Moshiach, even though he still isn't here, Klal Yisrael has not, is not, and will not ever stop believing, that he will come, eventually.

Because we know he will.

After the poem went out to my subscribers, one of them sent me a message, about how my poems are like "a window into my soul". The phrase and concept of "a souls window" stuck out to me at the time and I decided I'll eventually create a poem, or essay about it.

Well, here it is, in poem form, of course titled a little differently but still, I hope it will be as honest and truthful as it can be.

I hope you enjoy it,

Call of My Soul - Poem
A whisper, so soft, in the air,
Quietly telling me to reach up higher,
Always aim for the stars, never back down,
This is the call of my soul.

A guiding voice, when I have to choose,
A proud friend when I achieve,
Strength when I am weak, happiness if I am sad,
This is the call of my soul,

The colors of life,
Patterns of nature and wonder,
The ability to love and care,
This is the call of my soul.

Knowing right from wrong,
The knowledge that I can believe,
The untamed desire to keep succeeding,
This is the call of my soul

The ability to hope and pray,
To beg for mercy and to thank for kindness,
The ability and the mission to be, no one else other than me,
This is the call of my soul,

Your soul calls to you,
It's voice, guiding you,
Seek it out, find it,
Listen to the pure call of your soul
