Valleys - Poem

I am sometimes surprised by my ability to think of a concept for a poem and within minutes have a completed product. It is definitely, undeniably, a gift from Hashem, yet sometimes, It is almost indescribable and unbelievable, to the point where, as I write this, I am struggling to find the right words to describe it without sounding to haughty or like I am bragging.

Wow, take a look at that. A poet who composes poems in a matter of minutes on various occasions, but can't find the words to describe how this happens :)

Anyway, the reason why I tell you this is because that is how this poem came to be. I was searching through various song titles to see if any of them would fly out at me and give an idea to write about (okay. I admit nothing flew out at me, but I do have a poem) and than I found a title which made me think of writing a poem focusing on valleys. After some thought, I began to write and a few minutes later, I had run the entire distance of the valley, (which means that I had completed the poem).

Valleys - Poem

Walking on path new
Uncharted and undiscovered,
Open landscapes, natures finest,
Opportunity above me, hovers.

Splendid scene, breathtaking views,
Peaks of mountains touching the sky,
I could stand, lost in a whirlwind of wonder,
As time passes me by.

But of all these places,
There is one above them all,
One spot, and that only one,
Is where I answer the most honestly,
To nature's call.

It is in the valleys,
That stretch into forever, where my soul is free to sing,
It is there where the simplest sounds,
Tug lovingly at my heartstrings.

It is in the valleys,
On their widening paths, where I can run,
Where I can call out to the heavens, my voice echoing in to the winds,
With nature, I can become one.
