Amber Road - Poem
A couple of months back, I shared a select number of poems relating to different concepts, many of them within the spheres of nature. The process I took to create those poems resolved around music, specifically "Ambient Instrumental Music" as I found that the titles of the songs, or rather, pieces, within that genre, as well as the musical production itself, add a unique element perfect for poetry.
One of those tracks in one of the playlists I saved was titled "Amber Road", a quite ambiguous track name, if you will, but you see, that is where this poems' idea comes from. I imagine an Amber Road to be one where, at sunset, the sun splashes colour on the tar below, through the gaps between the trees nearby. There is indeed a sense of peace within that picture and wanting to capture it, late one night, I sat down to write the poem.
I hope you will enjoy the finished product,

When the day begins to end,
As the sun sets,
A canopy of amber and its family of shades,
Take, on my road, a rest.
Like an ocean, there is a splash,
Sudden yet welcoming,
Painting a masterpiece,
Of a place that seems so inviting.
Driving down my amber road,
Now infused with light and love,
I cannot help but feel,
A sense of an embrace, from up above.
All the shades from, brown, yellow and gold,
Blend so majestically,
As the stores on the pavement reflect that warmth,
The last, fading splashes of amber wash around me.
