Rise Up - Poem

I have a USB on which I store the vast majority of my poems in folders relating to the poems relevant theme and potentially, their relevant subtopics. Many of my poems fall out to be in a folder labelled "Creative Concepts" under such subtopics as "Connection to G-d," "Personal Connections" and one labelled "Talent & Self-Worth". The following poem, as I think you will agree, would be rightfully stationed in the last folder I mentioned.

This poem is a motivational piece, written in a song-based form, which details the journey of one unnamed character who wishes to achieve a goal and is consistently inspired to keep moving forward towards realizing that goal by his innermost thoughts, or as some would say, his heart or soul. 

The poem which detail a journey quite rightly is written in that fashion. It starts with the acknowledgement of this characters goal, than shifts towards encouraging him to "Rise Up" and use his failings as motivation, before detailing the different chapters of the journey being taken and ends with one more burst of inspiration to help our friend reach deep within his soul and find his truths.

Rise Up - Poem
You have a dream, you have desires, a destiny,
Ambitions to reach for the stars in the galaxy,
You have unique talents and abilities,
Your own personal success and tragedies.
You have been inspired, been broken, reborn again,
Found the straight paths, as well as those that bend,
You know who you are, but hey, do you know what you can be?
Do you realize the greatness of your destiny?

Reach up high,
Embrace yourself,
Accept your soul,
Falls and success.
Stand up tall,
Reach for the mic,
Look out at the crowd,
Prepare to strike.

Rise up, show your true colors to the world,
Allow the real truths of your story to be told,
Express your narrative with the voice you own,
Only like that will your heart show.
Rise up, don't be afraid of the storm,
The rain may come but the sunshine will adorn,
Find if you can a diamond in the rough,
Every single person is a gem from above.

Running on the paths, through valleys and roads,
Not backing down, falling out, cause you're never alone,
The angles are cheering and standing behind you,
Oh, do you realize the greatness of what you can do?
Allow the darkness and pain to make you stronger,
So in this game you can survive just a little bit longer,
Find the spark of your humanity, allow it to shine,
It is in your core, deep inside.
