A Letter To My Brother: A G-d Guided Poem In Prayer For Peace
A second poem I wrote regarding the tragedy in Israel, was written as a prayer of sorts to my fellow Jews. All of them, whoever they are, wherever they are. I titled it what I did, because I believe just as everything comes from G-d, so too, not only will G-d take the sweetest of revenge against the enemies of his beloved nation, but G-d also helped me write this prayer poem.
I hope this will bring some comfort to whoever reads it. I would kindly ask that you share this around, to help comfort those you know who may need someone to reach out and show them some support.
May G-d show us His strength in battle as he aids His nation, as well as, show us love, as we pray unified for protection and peace.
Your Friend,
Yitzy Schweitzer
Dear brothers, I hear your cries,
I can only imagine the pain in your eyes,
I stand with you throughout whatever may be,
For you are all my brothers, one love, one hope, one world, at peace.
Despite your lonely hours, I am there for you,
Praying for everything to be good, for as your brother, that’s what I can do,
I cry for you, I beg for your protection,
Throughout the thousands of miles, a deep, brotherly connection.
They say, when Jew is hurt,
His brothers, his nation who all share a united heart feel his pain,
If your heart is broken, so too, is mine,
In my words of rhyme, I hope you know that for you, dear brother I pray.
No differences occur, for my heart will always be at home,
Our holy land is where all of us really want to go,
To live in harmony, united in the tune of love,
For this, dear brother, do we pray, now, until the answer, to G-d above.
I close this letter of rhyme and hope to you,
By saying this, this is all I can do,
I will pray for you, for our homeland, our city of god, for peace
I will pray, because you are my brother, the love will never fade, never cease.
