Roar - Poem
I am looking forward to share it with you when the time is right.
Anyway, while sharing it with a very dear and trusted friend of mine, I joked that the next poem I will share will be about a lion. I thought of all the animals that G-d created and chose the lion in the moment of our conversation.
It was a joke, until I wrote a poem about a lion this past Tuesday.
So, now it is real.
In this poem, like many I have written before, we meet a young man who has achieved his dream, who had a goal or two and put in the work to meet it. He is now telling those who mocked and ignored his passion and desire, all about how their taunts and hurtful remarks never drove him to give up. He knew, just like those believers and achievers who came before him, that he has a power within him, given to him by his loving father, Hashem, the King of kings and as such it is not allowed that he should turn away from his dreams, but he should keep running toward them.
For he is a prince, the son of the King and he has been given the gifts he needs to achieve all his dreams and move beyond his limitations.
I hope you enjoy the read,

Breakout!
The time is now to roar,
The world has silenced you,
But now, they stand in awe.
They finally see your truth,
They recognise their mistake,
Locking you away was wrong,
But now you are on the throne, your domain
Embers fly around you,
A crown of G-d rests upon your head,
So many say they know your story,
But there is one book they haven't read,
That one about you,
About your dream and journey,
It's a tale of courage and determination,
In the face of animosity.
So many looked the other way,
They paid no attention to what lay in front of them,
They saw a young man wasting his time,
Instead of seeing a prince, the son of Hashem,
They saw what you were building,
They tried to tear it down,
But you stood up and claimed your spot,
This dream was yours and the haters could turn around,
You paid their slander not a coin,
You were focused on your goal,
They taunted but you ignored,
Because you understood your role,
You knew you were born to royalty,
Born a prince to a king who is so loved,
Your were tasked with a divine mission,
From Father up above.
Your attitude was fearless,
Like a lion you roared with pride,
You understood if the world hated,
At least He was at your side.
He gave you all this greatness,
He crowned you for the world to vow,
Look at what you have become,
Look at you now.
