Miracle Money - Monthly Gedolim Story
I recently began reading the first "Living Emunah" book which is the trailblazer in a best-selling series by Rabbi David Ashear, שליט"א. I don't think its a stretch for me to say that the book is indeed, quite wonderful. Helping the reader to connect with the ideas of Bitachon and Emunah, in small, simple steps, chapter by chapter, concept by concept, I humbly encourage everyone to read the book and be inspired in their own way.
One of the stories in the book, is a beautiful illustration of having full belief in the fact that Hashem will provide for your needs. I wish to share with you now, as the Monthly Gadol Story, for the month of Teves.
I hope you enjoy the read.

When his nephew asked whether his uncle had the full sum, he responded that he was $23,000 short of it. "But" he added "Hashem has never let me down in the past and I am sure today will be no different."
His nephew wasn't all that convinced. "But, uncle, even if somebody comes in right now and hands you a check for that exact amount, you'll still need to wait a few days for the funds to be available" he persisted.
Rav Yagen wasn't hearing it, however "What, you don't think Hashem could provide me with cash?" He rhetorically asked.
The nephew described how that day, Rav Yagen conducted his affairs as normal and as though everything was fne. He spent his usual amount of hours learning, he delivered his shiurim and gave his assistance to those who needed him to help. There was not a hint, a breath of worry, stress or anxiety. Rav Nissim went about his day, with full, undisturbed confidence that Hashem would provide him with his much needed funds.
As the day wore on, it got to the point where there was only a few hours left for Rav Nissim to pay the salaries. The nephew was getting really curious. Rav Yagen went into his office and spoke to Hashem, while his nephew stood outside. The nephew heard Rav Yagen say these words, to his dear Father in Heaven:
"Hashem, You know that this is Your kollel, not mine. I don't need this money for myself, but for You." Rav Nissim than left his room and told his nephew that everything will work out just fine.
At that very moment, a man ran into the room, dropped a satchel on the desk and left. Just like that. Rav Yagen and his nephew went in as soon the man had left and opened the satchel. Sure enough, there was exactly $23,000 - oh, and yes, you guessed right - in cash, my friends. Yes, indeed and with it Rav Yagen immediately went and paid those salaries.

Now about two years later, Rav Yagen was in Baltimore and saw a man who looked vaguely familiar. He approached the mna and introduced himself, than asked if they'd ever met, to which the man replied in the negative.
Rav Nissim was persistent, until finally the man divulged that, yes, they had been met briefly before, or as I might put it, if I may, crossed paths, as he was the mystery man who dumped the satchel of money on Rav Yagens desk that day.
The man related that he had been in Eretz Yisrael for his fathers first yarzheit and after visiting the kever, he was feeling down and returned to his hotel to take a quick nap. As he slept, his father appeared to him and asked "Why are sleeping? Rav Yagen needs £23,000!". Although this man did not even know who Rav Yagen was he immediately went down to the lobby and began asking around, in order to fulfill his fathers instructions. He met a friend who was in Eretz Yisrael on business, who mentioned that he had just completed a large, very profitable deal and was left with a good amount of spare cash. The man asked if he could take $23,000 and once he received it he took it to RavYagen's office straight away.
Indeed, the salvation of G-d, comes within a blink of an eye.
One additional detail to think about is how stress free Rav Yagen was about the whole situation. Not allowing himself to worry, fret and be anxious. He remained upbeat, always understanding that his Father in Heaven could assist him.
