Warm Heart - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 4

Well, its time for another "Subscriber Poem". This month, the suggestion I received from a very dear subscriber and good friend of mine, was all about the cold weather of winter and how, even though it is cold outside during these months, in the inside of our hearts there is always a warmth.

The direction I took focused on these three aspects of the concept. Three main points, if you will, to help bring the poem and concept to life.
First of all, mentioning the cold, the snow, the ice, of these winter months. Second of all, was to mention and focus on the "Warm Heart" aspect for what I believe is the majority of the poem and third of all was to express the warmth, as well as, all of the other aspects previously mentioned (the cold, the snow, etc), as gifts from Hashem.

Warm Heart - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 4

It's getting towards the end of winter ,

For soon G-d will give us spring,

Winter had its moments, it definitely did,

 But now, a new season is soon coming.

Winter is known to be cold,

The ice in the mornings, maybe the snow,

All so wonderful, because that is nature's little way,

That's just the way the seasons go.

But, we, the people have a gift,

To withstand the cold, during its bitter days,

We warm ourselves, deep in the heart,

For our hearts are pure, our love is our true way.

Someone once told me,

To keep my heart always open,

Because, he said, it may be cold outside,

But in your heart, warmth is welcome.

So, just give your heart, this gift,

Give yourself the tranquility of warmth,

Open your mind to the peace,

Allow vibrancy to adorn.

G-d has made the warmth,

His kindness gave you the gift,

Embrace it, share it, let it shine,

Give the world a little meaningful lift.
