Secret Garden of The Heart - Poem

Earlier this week, at a late hour of the day, I lay down with intentions to write a poem about something while listening to some white noise piano soundtracks. After a few moments pondering on what to write, one line was followed by another, until after around five or ten minutes later, I had the complete piece.

The concept of the poem is, a young mans narration as he travels to an unknown secret garden. That's all I'm giving away as I humbly invite you to read what G-d has allowed me in His graciousness, to share with you.

I hope you enjoy it, just as much as I enjoyed writing it, which, if you assumed that I had a very beautiful and relaxing time writing this, you would be correct :)

All the very best,

Your friend,

Secret Garden of The Heart - Poem

In the calm summer air,
Late is the hour, when a whisper calls my name,
Subtle, soft, the voice gentle,
Do I whisper back or turn away,

Yet I am intrigued, something tugs at me to go,
As I walk towards the whisper, a soft note is heard,
A cry, a yell, a sigh, or encouragement,
Another note, then the chirp of a bird,

Curious, I turn the last corner,
Stumble upon a world so unknown yet familiar,
A world of music, tunes that embrace your soul,
In the quiet stillness of ever loving nature.

As the flowers laugh, a new note is played,
A symphony of birds put forth melody in the air,
A strum of guitar as the river flows by,
An old friend, of times gone by, letting you know he's always been there.

What is this place, I wonder,
How is it that I've never heard or seen it,
I don't want to leave it behind,
In case I would never again find it.

But, suddenly, it dawns on me,
I won't ever forget this place, I'll always know where to find it,
For what if I tell you, it was never really real,
But, in my heart, and yours too, is where it is.
