Clouds of G-ds Glory - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 12

 In a recent conversation with one of my subscribers, I asked for a concept for a new poem. It was suggested that I try write a poem about the beauty of the sky. After another quick discussion, a baseline began to form in my mind and I decided that when I write the poem it will be shared as the "Subscriber Poetry Inspiration" piece for the month of Elul.

As we now have entered into Elul, it is time to share the finished piece.

The baseline I came up with is this:

As the sun rises, as the new day comes together, the clouds in the sky seem to be different in some way. maybe more beautiful, colourful, or more glorified than they've looked in a while. All this is because, as we know during the month of Elul, Hashem is closer to us, His children then he normally is, there is a elevation felt within the world during this time, as His Divine Spirit descends with much love and compassion to inspire us to come closer to Him.

The clouds wish to remind us that He is coming at this time, or once He has arrived, they remind us that He is within our midst.

So they stand out. They appear all the more beautiful as they come together, like soldiers at attention for any superior officer, and pay their respects to Him as His Spirit descends in humility, filled with love.

Anyways, that right there may be to much explaining, so I will leave you to read the finished poem, all about the clouds of G-ds glory.

Clouds of G-ds Glory - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 12

As the sun rises, a new morning has come,
There is a feeling in the air, something different in the skies,
For it is the month of our beloved father being closer to us,
His spirit is near, we seek him out, our hearts alive.

Can you see the clouds of glory,
As they come together for His arrival?
Creating masterful patterns of splendid colors,
The world is awake, the birds sing, notes high and low.

G-d wants us to be near to Him,
We are His children, He is our Father,
He wants us to be close to Him,
So He may embrace us, and promises the arrival of our redemption.

The clouds even tell us a story, as well,
They want the redemption to come soon, too.
For then, the world will truly be glorified,
As G-ds voice calls joyously to me and you.

Can you see the clouds,
Can you read the story it shares,
Don't you want to add another beautiful chapter,
Onto the gradient add a colour, another layer.

These are clouds of glory,
The glory of G-ds presence being close,
He calls out to us, He whispers your name,
Waiting for the answer, the soft response of the soul.
