Tears for the Goals, Hope for the Future - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 11

Last months' "Subscriber Poetry Inspiration" piece was about the ocean. Sent in to me by one of my subscribers, the idea to look at the ocean as metaphor for life in all different ways -  from emotions, to the waves, the highs and lows of experiencing  good and bad moments - was presented so well that I decided to use both aspects of the baseline, both sides of the coin, if you will.

From using the emotion and wavelength concept for last month's poem, to now - as we come off another meaningful, hopeful Tisha B'av and this Shabbos will be experiencing, not just Shabbos Nachamu, but also Tu B'av - lets use the baseline of raising ourselves up from the crushing waves of tragedy and despair, moving forward despite the storm and dancing in the rain.

Once again, using the ocean-based foundation to create a Subscriber Poem.

Let us also as a side note, remember that "Out of darkness comes light". From the tragedy of Tisha B'av comes Shabbos Nachamu and Tu B'av. From the storm of sorrow, will comes flowing down in waves of joy, much blessing.

I hope you enjoy the poem.

All the very best, my friends,

Have a wonderful week,

Tears for the Goals, Hope for the Future - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2024-25 Poem 11

Walking by the graves of the fallen,
Stones washed in the tears of those left behind,
Shattered hearts, grieving souls,
Yet a spirit, awake, ready, alive.

Despite the cloudy skies,
Despite the ocean and rivers,
Despite the cold, despite the ice,
Despite the sadness, so empty and bitter.

I will rise from beneath the waves,
Soaked with rememenants of my pain and grief,
But strengthened, motivated, empowered,
To run towards the goals I set our to achieve.

Join me, my friends,
Despite your tears, take my hand,
Leave the rivers, let your negativity drown away,
Come with me to our promised land.

An oath from the mouth of The Most High,
Never loses its holiness,
No matter how strong the floods and waves,
It's still there, waiting to be fulfilled for us.

Hashem will take us above the waters,
Above the skies, above infinity,
He will take us to joy, love, redemption, and greatness,
He will take us to the land you and I, dream.
