Fingerprint of G-d: Found - Poem

This week, I was struggling to come up with a god idea for a poem. Every idea that I had just couldn't seem to make it in to a perfect, complete and finished poetry piece. I was getting slightly flustered, but I knew that I had seen a video, a clip, earlier in the week, with an idea, that while in some ways cliche, I really liked. I decided to try and use that idea, to brainstorm and see what type of poem I could create based around it.

The idea came from a shiur given by Rabbi Yehoshua Nissan, who was speaking about looking for Hashem and how He is really always with us. He quoted the Ba'al HaTanya who wrote "All a person wants is to be with Hashem and if they can realize that there is no place in the world that's empty of Hashem, (that means) that you are with Hashem all the time!"

The shiur went on and Rabbi Nissan explained further on the topic, but for me it was that piece that I shared with you in the proceeding paragraph that started planting the seeds for this poem you are about to read. That idea of being with Hashem all the time, was delivered in such a beautiful way, that I felt I should try and compose a piece based on it.

After some rough starts and trying out different viewpoints and elements in order to bring this poem to life, eventually I settled on this final draft. I hope you enjoy it and I wish you all the very, very best, for this upcoming week.

Fingerprint of G-d: Found - Poem

In the moments when the world becomes chaotic,
When the traffic and craziness of life seems only to become greater,
A person may wonder, he may ask, just this question,
"I wonder in all this chaos, could I still find Hashem here?"

When the world than becomes peaceful,
The breeze is serene and the moments are precious and pure,
Once again, a person may wonder, he may ask, just this question,
"I wonder, in all this comfort and joy, could I still find Hashem here?"

When things are going right, when the sun shines and flowers bloom,
When things are going wrong, moments are drowned in tears of gloom
In all these situations, in every one of them, I tell you so,
G-d. He alone is with you wherever it is you may go.

True a lot of things can go and come, just in any single day,
Some things are great, while other things can stay away.
But in all the traffic and the hustle,in all the peace and serenity,
If you look for G-d's fingerprint, I tell you, so will you find it...
Right in the perfect place, just where its meant to be.

There is not a place in the world where the spirit and presence of G-d cannot be found
There is not a situation in life, where you cannot hear G-ds call and sound.
True he lives in the sky, up way above,
But we feel Him with here on earth, every day, we feel His love.

We must begin to recognize and understand wherever we go, or may be,
G-d is always with us, a piece of heaven is always within us,

A spark of his love, guiding both you and me.
