Tears of Confusion - Subscriber Poetry Inspiration 2025-26 Poem 11

So many questions
seem to arise,
Disturbing the peace of our already spinning minds,
What we knew for a fact, believed to be true,
Is now under the possibility of a lie, leaving us lost and confused.
This generation is yet another with a test in its hands,
A test of the fact, the mind, of knowing where to stand,
Do we stand on truth and if so, what does it mean,
Or is my truth really a lie, a clouded judgment, a misty dream?
All of this, all these doubts and all these illusions,
Corrupt our minds to the point where insanity looms over us,
Our spirits become deflated and defeated, truth becomes a teasing, laughing,
prize,
As the tears of our confusion, fall from our pleading eyes.
All these questions about the future, not knowing what is to come,
Yet, we know that we must have faith and believe in the Holy One,
Fearing about the future, will only cause more sadness and heartbreak,
Yet, the tears of confusion fall, our question need answers, we cannot wait.
It is the cloud of exile, that makes it so hard to understand it all,
We no longer live with prophets, we are not as close to His call,
Confusion is resolved with asking what is on your mind,
Hoping for an answer of eternal truth, one that will calm and satisfy.
Questions that once were never asked, now is but a regular conversation,
The young and old need the guidance of the great and trusted of our generation,
What will happen and why, is He in heaven, with us despite our misdeeds,
Yet sadly, even those who get the answers, still with confusion and despair
leave.
