Forgotten Notes in the Song of Our King - Poem

Last week, I sat down and wrote the following poem you are about to read. At this time, I cannot remember what the baseline concept, or original idea that I had in mind was, all I know is that this is the poem that came forth following that writing session.

This poem speaks about the concept of that there is a song that we used to sing during the time of the Batei Mikdash and when we were led away into exile, that song faded slightly. But as we get closer to the days of redemption, to the days of Mashiach, the song has slowly returned to us, in all its purity.

Except for one missing note.

One note, we cannot remember, no matter how hard we try.

That note will come to us when Mashiach does indeed come.

It also touches upon the fact that in Elul, Hashem is within the field of the world, waiting for us to ask of Him whatever it is that we have on our minds. He waits with love for us to return home to Him, in purity, with a true and honest heart and with a calm, relaxed spirit.

These two concepts found a way for them to come together and create this little piece that I am sharing with you now.

Have a wonderful week ahead and thank you for reading.

Forgotten Notes in the Song of Our King - Poem
You have fought with strength, through personal battles and wars,
You’ve faced rejections, countless closed doors,
Through it all, you’ve stood strong, singing your quiet song,
Hoping to find comfort, in days of renewal and in a time of belong.

But, still you wait despite the fact that things seems to be working out,
Everything is falling into place, just about,
Something is not there, missing, a note that we stopped singing,
But yet our hearts cry out for us to remember, it was His presence, that was the one thing.

So now, we sing, with renewed understanding,
Knowing He is standing close by,
In the field of the world, sits our Father waiting,
Waiting to embrace His dear Child.
Seek Him out, we’ve been told,
When you can find Him,
Call to Him when He is close,
His attention is undivided.
He is in the King in the Field,
Waiting just like us,
For the song to be complete,
For an end to this Galus.

So many days have passed, each one of us still stands here,
Reeling from heartbreak, deep pain and fear,
If only we could sing the song, we’ve waited to complete for so long,
But yet, we can’t, for redemption, we wait, on repeat, the chains so strong.

Sometimes, there are good days, when things seem to click,
But within the joys, something seems to stick,
A feeling we can’t escape, something that we can’t shake,
Oh, Father, Tatte, how long is this going to take.
Oh now, we sing, with renewed understanding,
Knowing He is standing close by,
In the field of the world, sits our Father waiting,
Waiting to embrace His dear Child.
Seek Him out, we’ve been told,
When you can find Him,
Call to Him when He is close,
His attention is undivided.
He is in the King in the Field,
Waiting just like us,
For the song to be complete,
For an end to this Galus.

It is now, the field is open,
Our Father awaits an honest cry,
He wishes to embrace us to tell us its okay,
He is with us, everything will be fine.

Oh soon, we will sing, with complete understanding,
Knowing He is standing right by our side,
In the field of redemption, sits our Father celebrating,
Embracing His prince, His dear Child.
We sought Him out, as we were told,
When we knew we could find Him,
We called to Him when He was close,
His attention was and still, is undivided.
He is in the King in the Field,
Once waiting just like us,
For the song to be complete,
For an end to this now forgotten Galus.
